Fall 2007 – Spring 2008:

Dr. Griffin is presently on leave of absence from the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work at Christopher Newport University for the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 semesters. During his time away from his usual professorial duties, he will be working as a cultural anthropologist with the U.S. Army, in its effort to implement the Human Terrain System in Iraq. You may be interested in keeping up to date on his activities in the Middle East by regularly visiting his blog called From an Anthropological Perspective.
